Hi, I’m Jorrit Salverda. I’ve started this blog to share my experience in website development. I currently work for a large internet company in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I deal with various aspects of developing, maintaining and optimizing websites from day to day.
C# is my main programming language, although I’m also do quite some client-side scripting with the jQuery framework. Focus in my work is maintainability, performance and usability. Some tools we use for this job are Test Driven Development and Continous Integration.
Next to this day job I really enjoy photography. I attend a lot of rowing contests to capture the athletes in action. The photos are online at www.jorritsalverda.nl, which is also my playground for improving my skills as a software engineer.
In general I’m very interested in the newest technology available and a gadget freak pur sang.
